The San Francisco dining scene is a new mix of modern venue’s, innovative themes and many changes. Venue selection has become quite a task, especially in keeping with the high standards of our IWFS heritage. Welcome to 2018.


Lord Stanley was voted the 2016 #3 Best New Restaurant in America by Bon Appêtit, proud recipient of a Michelin Star for 2016, 2017 & 2018, and member of the SF Chronicle’s top 100 list.


Englishman Rupert Blease and his lovely wife Carrie are owners and co-chefs with experience from working throughout Europe and the US, most notably at Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons, Per Se, Blue Hill, Texture (one of our favorite restaurants in London), L’Amphytrion and locally at Central Kitchen and Commonwealth.


They are indeed a formidable culinary team creating cuisine with European influences and redefined flavor profiles showcasing the finest local ingredients. Our trial dinner quickly developed to thoughts of a playful eclectic wine pairing, older vintages from various wine regions to highlight the slowly developing crescendo of each course. Superb rare selections, along with the stunning 98 Parker point 1994 Zind-Humbrecht Pinot Gris VT, followed by a Christian Moueix Dominus Estate vertical should be a triad noteworthy of Rupert and Carrie’s culinary theater.
