are delighted to return to San Francisco’s finest Italian Michelin star restaurant. In addition to outstanding cuisine, Co-owner and Maître d’ Giancarlo Paterlini is perhaps the Bay Area’s most knowledgeable expert on Italian wines. I have been to Italy with Co-owner and Executive Chef Suzette Gresham-Tognetti many times on our white truffl e adventures. She is not only one of the Bay Area’s most accomplished Chef’s, but also has a deep understanding of Italian cuisine. Her dishes exemplify a blend of traditional fl avors, enhanced by refi ned contemporary techniques utilizing the finest ingredients available.
We are fortunate to have a cellar that contains a small, yet remarkable collection of Italian wines. Giancarlo is always at-the-ready with a history of our final selections served at Acquerello events. This adds an important educational element to the evening. This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy these outstanding highly rated wines, particularly an older vintage in large format. They are not only rare, but have been impeccably stored since acquisition. After many trips to Italy, enjoying older selections can be a real challenge since proper storage of older vintages is not always followed in many restaurants and wine shops. Undoubtedly, this will be one of the few times you will be able to enjoy these terrific vintages. Chef Tognetti has created an outstanding menu, and we are very much looking forward to this very exciting evening.
